Healthy Breakfast Recipe

Breakfast is by far my favourite meal of the day so I thought I would share my go-to healthy breakfast staple. The main ingredient is oat bran which is high in fibre and carries great nutritional value. This particular breakfast is a great way to kickstart the day and I find that it keeps me full up for a long time.  


1/4 cup of oat bran 
1/2 - 3/4 cup of skimmed milk
1 teaspoon of cinnamon 
2 tablespoons of seed mix
1 banana
handful of blueberries

  • Firstly add the oat bran and the milk into a bowl and heat in the microwave for around 2 minutes. You can change the cooking time depending on whether you prefer the consistency to be thick or more runny. 
  • Once cooked, take out of the microwave and add the mixed seeds and half a mashed banana along with the cinnamon and mix it altogether. 
  • Finally add the rest of the banana (chopped) and blueberries on top and voila!

This is such a quick, easy and healthy breakfast to make and it's yummy too! The seed mix adds some crunch whilst the banana and cinnamon adds sweetness. I have this most mornings and I love it, I usually have it with a cup of coffee and I'm good to go!
