Everyday Base Make Up Routine

On an everyday basis I pretty much stick to the same base make up and these are my go-to favourite products. I start by applying my Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in the shade Punjab with my Real Techniques buffing brush. This foundation offers a medium to buildable coverage - it's definitely not sheer as the name suggests! It lasts really well throughout the day and gives a flawless finish to the skin. I've loved it for ages now and no other foundation matches up to it for me. The only small gripe I have with it is that it doesn't come with a pump, you can buy one seperately but they are so difficult to get hold of which is fustrating.

After applying foundation I move onto concealer, I definitely need a heavy and full coverage in this department as I have a dark under eye area as well as veins that I need to cover up. To begin with, I apply my Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in the colour Warm Beige which is such an amazing product that I can't be without. Due to it's thick consistency, I find that it works best if you apply it using fingers which I try to do as it warms up the product nicely. But most of the time I will just pat the product into the under eye area using my RT foundation brush as it gets the job done a lot quicker and it's less messy!

Moving onto the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in the shade Custard which I apply over the top using my RT contour brush. Or if I have time I will use a damp RT complexion sponge which is great to set both products into the skin seamlessly. I find the combination of these two under eye products work so well together, great coverage whilst also adding a brightening effect under the eye.

Lastly to finish off the base I will powder everything into place by applying my Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in the Transparent shade using my big RT powder brush. I find this helps to make the make up last longer and gives a nice matte finish to the skin. It also makes my bronzer and blush apply better on top!
